Have you ever wondered: What does my local congressman even do? What are my taxes actually being spent on? And most importantly, how do these things affect me?

If you find yourself asking these questions, you are not alone. I, like many Americans, ask these same questions. Our government has seemingly cloaked itself in a veil of secrecy. Very few people truly know or understand what our leaders in Congress are doing on a daily basis, and part of that reflects the lack of civic education the newest generation has grown up with. As a result, many Americans have become apathetic about voting and disengaged from politics.

Transparency is badly needed. The American people deserve to know how decisions are being made, how their tax dollars are being spent, and whether their elected officials are truly working for them.

I believe government should be open, accountable, and easy for everyday citizens to understand—not hidden behind a viel of secrecy and political theater. If elected, I will work to shine a light on Washington, restore trust in our institutions, and ensure that the people of our community always know exactly who their government is working for.

I’m not running to climb the political ladder. I don’t have a polished political résumé or a cushy white-collar title. I’m running to fix what’s broken. It’s time for transparency, real accountability, and leadership that protects taxpayers, lowers costs, and serves our community first.

That is why I have decided to run for Congress.
